					<description>No Burger King on the list.  No Ronald McDonald either.  The only "commercial" ones are:  The Marlboro Man; Barbie; and Joe Camel.

The editors do say this in the introduction:  "Many characters might have been popular favorites of our culture, but popular doesn't always translate into influential" (3).</description>
