Must comment again, because, yes! I was born in January! So I am with the previous year's sign. I did not know that. Off to find out what 197- is now!

Don't worry, Christie. The point of my post was the way nerves can get you crazy. In this case, it was my husband's. I am sending the rabbit! Woohoo.
Atomic Mama--yeah, I considered sending the rabbit naked, and that's R.'s first choice. But, like I said in the post, I'm not sure why I'm committed to the anthropomorphic nature of the stuffed animal, but I guess I'm hoping to encourage the attachment factor of child to doll.
Allison--That's really interesting about being a rabbit matched with a rooster...you weren't born in January or February right? (Cause then you're with the previous year's sign...?) Maybe you just had the perfectly matched facial structure in the eyes of the CCAA, and that trumped the zodiac factor.

Oh, I don't know how to talk you down from this. You are an over-thinker my friend. The rabbit is adorable.

I'm not so sure I believe that about the CCAA using Chinese zodiac signs in their matching criteria. Our daughter is a rooster and I am a rabbit.
Incidentally, I bought that same rabbit for our daughter. I picked the Hello Kitty pajamas and slipper for her. Build a Bear does have some slutty junk for their stuffed animals.

So, was a naked rabbit not an option...?

And OMG!!! Depending on where you are in the pile, you could be in China VERY SOON!!!

Ya know, I wish I had some soothing words or a couple of snappy cliches that would fit here, but I so feel you. This is exactly the kind of the stuff I'd worry about.

And you know what? I didn't realize the CCAA paid attention to the zodiac when matching NSN children. Very very interesting.

I like the bear or the bunny or whatever that is. I have a problem with the idea of sticking a hose up the animal's something or other and blowing feathers up there. No cute outfit will erase that image for me.
