I really, really love this beautifully simple picture. I'm caught w/o my camera so often - nice that you had yours this day at the gas n' sip.

Thanks for sharing. XO

Love these comments!

Thanks you all for the link to the MEGA COOL window shade and for the lines of the bird poem. I'm going to do a bird theme in The Bee's nursery (I know, I know, that sounds odd written together...)

To answer a couple of the questions...yes, I always carry a camera in my purse. And I take it out of my purse and carry it with me if I go on a hike. There is always something new happening somewhere. And I am a collector.

The previous owners gave up the ranch when the Swami became close to 100 years old and began having heart trouble. They needed to move up into town to be closer to the hospital and doctors. He died about a year after they sold the property to us.

The 'which row' question is a good one! Sounds like it could be part of one of those personality tests...!! I am going to say the middle row...I do better one-on-one than either as part of a large gathering or singled out.

Which row would you be in if you were a bird? I think I'd be on the bottom row, with lots of space and peace.. for a while. I might move up to the middle row. I'm too much of an introvert for the top row.

Still birds outwait the weather
perched in lines along the wires,
looking like notes
waiting to become song.

Your photos remind me of lines from a poem. Birds on the wires always remind me of musical notes but yours have such a stunning background. Do you always travel with a camera?

very nice - when I saw this, I thought you might like this: http://www.bodieandfou.com/zoom.asp?photo=BF274.jpg - bird on a wire shade.

BTW - loved the second installment on the spider woman and tagore shrines. Your ranch is so beautiful. How did you originally come across it and why did the previous owners ever give it up?

PSS. I know I still owe you some red egg and ginger party stuff. I thought I had the file of stuff on my husbands computer, but forgot he got a new computer and I am still trying to figure out where he backed up my stuff... didn't forget . . . coming soon.

Just stunningly beautiful.

I counted, but I'm afraid I don't get it. There are 25 right? 20, 4 and 1? I'm going to have to come back and read the comments.
