Free To Be The Bee…
Did anyone else listen to this album growing up like I did? I discovered reading the description over there that I am one of that demographic called ’70s Children (although I was four when that decade rolled around). Who knew?
My sister gave The Bee the CD for her birthday, so we were rocking out to it in her room the other day…(I took this vid with my regular camera, so I can’t control when it decides to end things. It has something to do with the memory card.)
On the song, “You Can Be Almost Anything You Want To Be,” I just realized that the first part of their list is “some moms are ranchers, or poetry makers…” Okay, then. I’m hoping I didn’t internalize Marlo to that extent…
And a BONUS! in the TMI chronicles of The Nest: The Bee successfully used the potty chair for the first time this morning! Sweet! She was so proud…
No video of that. Ahem.

I knew my sweety was “the one” for me when he told me his favorite song was William’s Doll.

AWWWWW YEAH!
“Mommies hate housework, Daddies hate housework, and I hate housework, too!” Cannot begin to tell you how often that line rockets around in my head.

I was pretty sure that in the recent pics of her room, I saw a c.d. player after which I wondered what the Bee was listening to lately. Good choice from your sister. I love watching your sweet girl dance. Thanks for this.

know the song? Heard of the song? Heck yeah!
I likely can sing all the words to most songs on those albums. I was just thinking of it the other day.

I forgot about that album. I loved it!! It’s really really nice to see how things are coming along in your mommyhood. It makes me happy. Especially in these days where my impending mommyhood is making me all fluttery inside. Seeing Emme Lu dancing in her room? Well that just seems to make it all better for me. Thanks for sharing that. Now it’s really time to track down your e-mail address….

That girl can sure shake her moneymaker…what a sweetiepea. Afraid it must be a generational thing but I totally don’t get big nostalgia out of the music. Maybe because the equivalent for my generation as “Schoolhouse Rock” and the Royal Guardsmen doing “C’mon Down to My Boat, Baby”.

That cd is on my Amazon “Wish List” - the one that is so full of my old literary faves that I’m thinking I may need to branch out soon. I just got the Lonely Doll - do you remember that one - always loved the pictures. Another recent acquisition - The Little House. Love that one….anyway thanks for the flashback.
