A Walk in the Woods…
Firstly, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! More on that later. Also, more eventually on yesterday’s homestudy visit with the social worker.
Secondly, here are some southwestern-style autumnal shots from our hike into the canyon at the back of the property on Sunday…the yellow is the west’s fall color, and our cottonwoods are at their peak right now…there was a picnic and the dogs got wet and then the littlest one ate handful after handful of dirt that The Bee fed to her…everyone got a little messy, which is how it should be.

I hope the SW visit was as much of a walk in the park as your lovely canyon hike… I know what a great hike that must of been - nice! Happy Halloween! I’m in the middle of decorating our little foyer for the trick-or-treaters tonight. Spooky stuff!

What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon - picnicking (picnicing?) amongst the golden cottonwoods… I’m not sure how she does it, but I swear, that girl o’ yours gets cuter with every post! I can hardly wait to see the Halloween photos (and hear about the SW visit). One step closer to the Bee’s little sister! Woo hoo!

That’s a great expression in the last picture. Confused? Tired? Curious? Whatever - what a lovely outing.
This appears to be some sort of universal trait among children: dirt - it’s whats for dinner.
